Master of Christian Faith (in Diaspora Mission) (Online Mode)

Program Objective

This program provides basic theological training to Christians with a Bachelor’s degree who desire to serve, helping Christians in the diaspora to fulfill their calling and develop their gifts to establish and serve in overseas churches.

 

Target Students

The program is designed specifically for Cantonese-speaking Christians around the world who hold a Bachelor’s degree.

 

Program Design

  1. Student must complete 12 courses (36 credits) and other graduation requirements in 4 years’ time.
  2. Core courses aim at providing students with essential theological foundation and subjects relevant to their situations, to equip them to reflect on and practice their faith in the unique situation overseas churches.
  3. Students may choose their electives based on personal interests.
  4. Course delivery modes include real-time online classes and pre-recorded video lectures, with tutors assisting online.  Real-time online classes will be given based on the U.K. time zone (during weekdays and Saturdays in the U.K.).

Grad. Requirements

  1. Participate in a retreat camp (3-day 2-night camp) OR complete at least 100 pages of devotional readings
  2. Serving in a church for six months
  3. Reading the New Testament once

Admission Requirements

  1. Applicants must be born-again Christians and are baptized for two years or above.
  2. Demonstrate acceptable levels of spiritual maturity, appropriate giftedness, and ministry involvement in the church.  A recommendation from the affiliated church is needed.
  3. Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  4. Applicants need to sit for a written examination.  An interview will be arranged if deemed necessary.
