Program Objective
This two-year program is designed to provide full-time basic theological training for young British
Christians with university degrees and ambitions to serve, to help them develop their gifts, fulfill their calling, and establish and serve the British Chinese church.
Target Students
Christians in the British Cantonese Church with a university degree.
Program Design
- Students must complete 12 courses and graduation requirements (40 credits in total) in 2 years’ time.
 - One-year church internship: begins in the 2nd quarter of the first year study and complete by the 2nd quarter of the second year. Internship 24 hours per week.
 - Including church internship, there are 7 core courses and 5 elective courses.
 - "Core courses" are designed to enable students to master the necessary theological foundation. "Elective courses" teach theological issues related to students' situations, plus a year of church internship, paying equal attention to theory and practice.
 - “Introduction to Ministry Life and Theology” – This course combines spiritual formation, ministry life and theological research methodology.
 - “The Establishment of Overseas Chinese Churches” – This course will be coordinated by ABS faculty and will connect with a group of overseas pastors and missionaries with pastoral experience as a teaching team to practically explore and teach students how to help establish overseas churches.
 - Students are free to choose courses according to their interests as electives.
 - Multiple teaching modes: in-person teaching, viewing teaching videos, real-time online classes, and church internships with supervisors.
 - "Teacher-student groups" are led by teachers and meet online regularly to allow students to support each other in theological study and spiritual growth.

Admission Requirements
- Applicants must be born-again Christians and are baptized for two years or above.
 - Demonstrate acceptable levels of spiritual maturity, appropriate giftedness, and ministry involvement in the church. A recommendation from the affiliated church is need.
 - Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
 - Applicants need to attend the interview and sit for a written examination.
